About Me!
Hello! My name is Juan Orduna (a.k.a JP), I'm a Bioengineering student at the University of Colorado at Denver. I was initially a Mechanical engineer interested in technology, machinery, and robotics. As I grew up and moved through my school years I realized that I also enjoyed science topics such as medicine and biology, which led me to where I am now. I enjoy and consider myself good at the creation and ideation of designs for anything that I might come across, always trying to come up with unconventionally and outside the box ideas.

Hugh Herr is one of the people that inspired me to become a bioengineer, not only through his own apparent intelligence and insight into the field of bioengineering and orthopedics but also because of his true pursuit of the improvement of humanity, clearly apparent through his own use of bionic technology.

Overall, the easiest way I can explain my goals and aspirations for my future career and the general field of bioengineering is through the idea of transhumanism.
"Transhumanism, social and philosophical movement devoted to promoting the research and development of robust human-enhancement technologies. Such technologies would augment or increase human sensory reception, emotive ability, or cognitive capacity as well as radically improve human health and extend human life spans. Such modifications resulting from the addition of biological or physical technologies would be more or less permanent and integrated into the human body."
All I can say is that I hope for a future where humanity becomes better than the nature they were born into.
